Minutes of the March 11.,2020 <br />REGULAR MEETING OFT E <br />HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION <br />Present <br />Chris Dux, Chair <br />Matt Coyle, Vice Chair <br />Randy Hider, Secretary <br />Glee Emmite <br />Linda Vandiver <br />Laura Caffey <br />Cheri Bedford, HPO <br />1. Call meeting to order -Chairman <br />2. The February 12, 2020 minutes were approved by acclamation. <br />3. Commissioner E -.11 -1 lite made a motion to recuse Commissioner Caffey to present a design <br />concept for 1 10 ClarksviIlem <br />ST. missioner Hider seconded the motion. <br />Laura Caffey represented Walt Reep on the Certificate of Appropriateness for 1 10 Clarksville. <br />Mr. Reep owns the property 37 Clarksville, and was the former owner of Ree"s Furniture located <br />in downtown Paris. Mr. Reep is developing a concept idea to revitalize 1St ST SE and is <br />considering purchasing all or a portion of the property known as Paris Community Theatre <br />Brown Center for the Creative Arts. Ms. Caffey explained the property under review has two <br />large doors covered with inappropriate brick infill. If Mr. Reep purchases the property, he is <br />interested i*n restoring the openings and making store fronts. A concept was presented to the <br />commissioners for questions. After all questions were answered, a motion was made b <br />Y <br />Commissioner Vandiver to approve the concept drawing of removal of inappropriate infill with <br />the understanding that i*f the property was purchased by Mr. Reep, a formal Certificate of <br />Appropriateness would follow before any renovations were implemented. The Motion was <br />seconded by Comissi <br />moner El mite. Motion carried. <br />10 <br />A motion was made to return Ms. Caffey to the commission by Glee E - i i - nite, and seconded <br />by Commissioner Hider. Motion carried. <br />4. The commission reviewed the list of structures with Code Enforcement violations located at <br />A. 2004 Cleveland <br />Be 359 NW 12th <br />C. 926 W Cherry <br />D. 387 NW 3rd <br />E. 743 NW 4" <br />F. 1758 NE 10th <br />A motion was made by Commissioner <br />Hider determining these structures cannot be <br />
