RESOLUTION N0. 2019-041
<br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS,
<br />ACCEPTING THE BID AND AWARDING THE CONTRACT FOR THE 2019
<br />TXCDBG DOWNTOWN SIDEWALK PROJECT, IN THE CITY OF PARIS TO
<br />HIGHWAY 19 CONSTRUCTION, LLC, THE LOWEST RESPONSIBLE
<br />BIDDER; AUTHORIZING THE INTERIM CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A
<br />CONTRACT WITH HIGHWAY 19 CONSTRUCTION, LLC; MAKING OTHER
<br />FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND
<br />DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
<br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did heretofore, advertise for bids for
<br />furnishing plant, labor, materials, and equipment, and for performing all work required for
<br />the Downtown Sidewalk Replacement Project in the City of Paris,, which bids were received
<br />on November 7, 2019; and,
<br />WHEREAS, the lowest responsible
<br />received from Highway 19 Construction,,
<br />contract should be awarded to Highway
<br />project amount not to exceed $250,000.00.

<br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris, Texas hereby awards the bid for the
<br />2018-2019 Downtown Sidewalk Improvements project to Highway 19 Construction, LLC
<br />and authorizes the Interim City Manager to execute a contract with Highway 19
<br />Construction., LLC for said project in an amount not to exceed $250,000.008
<br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
<br />PARIS,TEXAS.
<br />Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble of this resolution are hereby
<br />in all things approved.
<br />Section 2. That the bid of Highway 19 Construction, LLC, Paris, Texas, for the
<br />2019 TXCDBG Downtown Sidewalk Project in the City of Paris, Texas is hereby accepted as
<br />the lowest responsible bid which provides the best value to the City,, and that the Interim
<br />City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to execute, on behalf of the City
<br />of Paris,, the Agreement with Highway 19 Construction,, LLC,, in an amount not to exceed.
<br />$250,000.00.
<br />Section 3. That this resolution shall be effective from and after the date of
<br />passage.
