To: City Council of Paris, Texas <br />From: Gary Savage <br />Subject: Why I am applying for a position on the Paris Texas City Council <br />Dear Mayor and Council Members, <br />I understand that you will soon be appointing a person to fill the council seat vacated in district 3. <br />1 believe that I am a good choice for that position. <br />I already serve as a commissioner/Chairman on the Housing Authority Board of Commissioners. I also <br />serve on the Red River Valley Boys and Girls Club board and the City Square Paris board as a liaison. I <br />have also served on the Board of Trustee's at Chisum ISD and the Lamar County 100 Club helping to <br />raise money for the families of fallen first responders. So, I have experience working with constituents in <br />the City of Paris in an official capacity. <br />I am the Pastor of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church here in Paris. I also have worked at Campbell Soup for 31 <br />yea rs. <br />I want to see Paris grow in the areas of Infrastructure and Industry/Jobs. I will do my very best to be a <br />councilman of Integrity and of upstanding moral character.
