RESOLUTION NO. 2020-027 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS, APPOINTING MEMBERS TO FILL THREE REGULAR MEMBERS AND ONE ALTERNATE MEMBER'S EXPIRED TERMS IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION 16 OF THE CITY ZONING ORDINANCE AND THE CITY'S POLICIES AND PROCEDURES FOR STANDING BOARDS, COMMISSIONS AND COMMITTEES; REAPPOINTING CHRIS FITZGERALD, APPOINTING REEVES HAYTER AND ANDRA "KIM" WALKER TO SERVE AS REGULAR MEMBERS FOR TWO YEAR TERMS AND RE -APPOINTING JERRY HANING TO SERVE AS AN ALTERNATE MEMBER FOR A TWO YEAR TERM; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, Section 16-100 of the City of Paris, Texas Zoning Ordinance No. 1710 states in part that the Board of Adjustment shall consist of five (S) members, each to be appointed by Resolution of the City council for a term of two years and two (2) alternate members for a term of two years; and WHEREAS, currently the Board of Adjustment has three regular members and one alternate member whose terms that will expire on June 30, 2020, creating four vacancies; and WHEREAS, currently the Board of Adjustment has a vacancy of three regular members and one alternate member; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS: Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby in all things approved. Section 2. That the following appointments are hereby made to the Board of Adjustment: reappoint Chris Fitzgerald and appoint Reeves Hayter and Andra "Kim" Walker to serve as regular members for two year terms; and re -appoint Jerry Harting to serve as an alternate member for a two year term. Section 3. That this resolution shall be effective from and after its date of passage. PASSED AND ADOPTED this 22nd day of June, 2020. , Stev„, Clifford, D., Mayor
