RESOLUTION NO. 2020-028 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS, <br />REPEALING RESOLUTION 2020-027 AND APPOINTING MEMBERS TO FILL <br />TWO OF THE THREE REGULAR MEMBERS' EXPIRED TERMS ON THE <br />BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION 16 OF THE <br />CITY ZONING ORDINANCE AND THE CITY'S POLICIES AND PROCEDURES <br />FOR STANDING BOARDS, COMMISSIONS AND COMMITTEES; <br />REAPPOINTING CHRIS FITZGERALD AND JERRY HANING TO SERVE AS <br />REGULAR MEMBERS FOR TWO YEAR TERMS; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS <br />AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND PROVIDING AN <br />EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />WHEREAS, Section 16-100 of the City of Paris, Texas Zoning Ordinance No. 1710 <br />states in part that the Board of Adjustment shall consist of five (5) members, each to be <br />appointed by Resolution of the City council for a term of two years and two (2) alternate <br />members for a term of two years; and <br />WHEREAS, on June 22, 2020 the City Council approved Resolution 2020-027, <br />appointing members to serve on the Board of Adjustment. <br />WHEREAS, On July 2, 2020 the City Council at a special meeting voted to repeal <br />Resolution 2020-027. <br />WHEREAS, currently the Board of Adjustment has three members with terms that <br />will expire on June 30, 2020, creating three vacancies; and <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />PARIS, TEXAS: <br />Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby in <br />all things approved. <br />Section 2. That Resolution 2020-027 is hereby repealed; <br />Section 3. That the following appointments are hereby made to the Board of <br />Adjustment: reappoint Chris Fitzgerald and Jerry Haning to serve as regular members for <br />two year terms. <br />Section 4.
