<br />RESOLUTION NO. 90-064 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris continues <br />to be aware of the necessity of maintaining and improving its <br />Municipal Airport, Cox Field in order to serve the needs of <br />the citizens of Paris; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Paris intends to request financial <br />assistance from the Texas Department of Aviation for these <br />improvements in the form of "T" hangars; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Paris intends to name the Texas <br />Department of Aviation as its agent for the purposes of <br />receiving and disbursing all funds for these improvements and <br />for the administration of contracts necessary for the <br />implementation of these improvements; NOW THEREFORE, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, <br /> <br />1. That the City of Paris process an application for <br />funds for "T" hangar construction at Cox Field <br />Airport, Paris, Texas, at the appropriate time, and <br />with the appropriate authorizations of this <br />governing body, all applications, contracts, <br />agreements and loan agreements with the State of <br />Texas, represented by the Texas Department of <br />Aviation, and such other parties as shall be <br />necessary and appropriate for the implementation of <br />the improvements to the Cox Field Airport. <br /> <br />2. That Joe McCollum, Director of Community <br />Development, be, and he is hereby appointed Project <br />Director, <br /> <br />3, That the Texas Department of Aviation of the State <br />of Texas, be, and it is hereby appointed agent for <br />the purposes of receiving and disbursing all funds <br />for said project, <br /> <br />4. That Michael E. Malone, City Manager, be, and he is <br />hereby authorized and directed to execute and <br />deliver on behalf of the City of Paris the letter <br />of intent to pursue financial assistance, necessary <br />applications, communications, instruments and <br />documents necessary for the completion of said <br />project. <br /> <br />5. That the letter of intent heretofore transmitted, a <br />copy of which is attached as Exhibit "A", is hereby <br />in all things ratified. <br /> <br />Passed and adopted this 9th day of August, 1990, <br /> <br /> <br />E,t ~'d ,{""O' <br />
