<br />I <br /> <br />A8l> <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. <br /> <br />90-062 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Paris received damages caused by <br />severe thunders torms, flood ing and tornados occurr ing from <br />April 15, 1990 through June 4, 1990; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Federal Emergency Management Agency has <br />available assistance for cities experiencing such disasters; <br />and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Manager did <br />application for public assistance under <br />the Disaster Relief Act (Public Law 93-288 <br /> <br />heretofore make <br />the provisions of <br />as amended); and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Federal <br />determined that the City <br />assistance for certain <br />assistance; and, <br /> <br />Emergency Management Agency has <br />of Paris is eligible for such <br />state and federal financial <br /> <br />WHEREAS, in order to receive such disaster funds, it is <br />necessary that the City of Paris designate its agent for such <br />purpose and it would be appropriate that the City Manager, <br />Michael E, Malone, be designated as such agent; NOW <br />THEREFORE, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, <br />that the application heretofore made by City Manager, Michael <br />E. Malone, for disaster assistance funds, be, and the same is <br />in all things ratified. <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that Michael E, Malone be, and <br />is hereby appointed as the agent and he is instructed to take <br />any and all steps necessary to receive such federal and/or <br />state funds to be used for disaster clean up, <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that Eric S, Clifford, Mayor of <br />the City of Paris, be, and he is hereby authorized and <br />directed to execute on behalf of the City of Paris the <br />"Designation of Applicant's Agent" in the form attached <br />hereto as Exhibit A. <br /> <br />Passed and adopted this the 9th day of July, 1990, <br /> <br /> <br />Eric S.
