<br />. . <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 90-059 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did in <br />Resolution No. 90-022, on' March 8, 1990, approve the <br />execution of a contract between the City of Paris, the <br />Chamber of Commerce of Lamar County and the Paris Visitors <br />and Convention Committee, approving the use of Hotel/Motel <br />taxes to help fund the construction of a civic center in the <br />City of Paris; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Regents of the Paris Junior <br />College has offered to convey the property located on the <br />Northeast corner of the intersection of Farm Road 1507 and <br />South Collegiate Drive described in Exhibit A attached <br />hereto, to the City of Paris in the form of a Warranty Deed, <br />attached hereto as Exhibit B, for the construction of said <br />civic center; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is deemed to be in the best interest of the <br />citizens of Paris, to accept the offer of property for the <br />site of a Civic Center for the City of Paris; NOW THEREFORE, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, <br />that the form of Warranty Deed, with conditions, attached <br />hereto as Exhibit B, wherein Paris Junior College conveys the <br />property described in Exhibit A attached hereto, to the City <br />of Paris for the limited single use as a civic center site, <br />is accepted and approved. <br /> <br />Passed and adopted this 9th day of July, 1990. <br /> <br /> <br />~~"d~ ""yo, > <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />~~L"'~~~~ <br />Mattle Cunning am, Cl er <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />City Attorney <br />
