The motion was seconded by Commissioner Coyle. Motion Carried. <br />Maverick Priest, owner of 21 S. Plaza is requesting to remove the inappropriate slip cover <br />over the front of the property, and restore the glass to the existing window frames. After brief <br />discussion on the existing condition under the facade a motion was made to approve the <br />Certificate of Appropriateness by Commissioner Vandiver, seconded by Commissioner <br />Emmite, motion carried. <br />Maverick Priest requested a fagade grant $2,500 to assist with removal of the facade. <br />Commissioner Dux made the motion to approve the funds to remove fagade, seconded by <br />Commissioner Emmite, Motion carried. <br />The Commission reviewed the phase one proposed schedule for updating the Paris Historic <br />Resource survey submitted by McDoux Preservation. The current HPC budget was reviewed <br />and there is $15,000 available at this time. There are two $2,500 fagade grant requests with <br />work either about to begin or in progress. The cost of the phase 1 survey is $10,000. The <br />Commission discussed available funds and timelines on how future projects would be paid. A <br />motion was made by Commissioner Vandiver to approve moving forward on the project with <br />McDoux Preservation to complete Phase 1 updates to the Historic Resource Survey. Motion <br />was seconded by Commissioner Emmite, motion carried. <br />Commissioner Coyle gave an update on the virtual Imagine the Possibilities tours. The <br />properties highlighted will be on Clarksville ST. A video will be made and shared via social <br />media. Target properties are those for sale or lease, in addition to one property owner who <br />recently purchased a building and another who remodeled a building and put it to use. The <br />tours will be filmed to create interest and provide examples of what can be accomplished. <br />Cheri Bedford reviewed the minor Certificate of Appropriateness list provided to the <br />commissioners. Information was given to the commissioners about the National Alliance of <br />Preservation Commission training that was going to be funded by the Certified Local <br />Government Grant. Commissioner Emmite, Vandiver, and Coyle are planning on attending <br />the virtual training via the grant.
