(d) The individuals described in subsections (a) through (c) may designate another autheriz <br />representative if the authorization is in writing, the authorization specifies the indivi <br />or position responsible for the overall operation of the facility from which the dischar <br />originates or having overall responsibility for environmental matters for the compann <br />and the written authorization is submitted to the city environmental services division. <br />rl <br />n <br />.e <br />e <br />(e) If an authorization under subsection (d) is no longer accurate because a differ <br />individual or position has'responsibility for the overall operation of the facility, or over i'l <br />responsibility for environmental matters for the company, a new authorization must <br />submitted to the city environmental services division prior to, or together with, 41 <br />reports to be signed by the authorized representative. <br />Best Management Practices (BMPs). Schedules of activities, prohibition of practices, <br />maintenance procedures and other management practices to implement the prohibitions <br />listed in Sec. 34104 (General Prohibitions) and See. 34-105 (Specific Prohibitions) of <br />this article. BMPs include treatment requirements, operating procedures and practices to <br />control plant site runoff, spillage or leaks, sludge or to disposal, or drainage from raw <br />materials storage, BMPs also include alternative means of complying with, or in place of <br />certain Categorical Pretreatment Standards and effluent limits. <br />Biochemical oxygen demand (BODs). Ile quantity of oxygen used in the biochemical <br />forth in Standard Methods. <br />Boiler blowdown wastewater. Wastewater emitted from a boiler or energy -generating <br />equipment containing chemical residues as a result of the conventional boiler water treatment <br />programs - <br />Building sewer. The extension from the building drain to the public sewer. <br />Categorical Pretreatment Standard or Categorical Standard. Any regulation containing <br />pollutant discharge limits promulgated by the EPA in accordance with sections 307 (b) and (c) of <br />the Clean Water Act that apply to a specific category of users and that appear in 40 CFR Chapter <br />1, Subchapter N. <br />Categorical Industrial User. Any industrial user subject to a Categorical Pretreatment <br />Standard or categorical standard. <br />City. The city or any authorized person acting in its behalf. <br />2833= <br />
