Bids were received and publicly opened at 3:00 p.m. on 07/21/2020. STATUS OF ISSUE: Bids were advertised in The Paris News on 06/21/2020 and 06/28/2020, and published on the City of Paris Department of Utilities website; bid packets were direct mailed to fifty-six (56) vendors; twenty-six (26) bids from sixteen (16) vendors were submitted. Low bids received: Chlorine, $790.00/ton, Brenntag Southwest, Inc.; Alum, $137.10/ton, Univar USA, Inc..; Ammonia, $1,200.00/ton, Airgas Specialty Products, Inc.; Bulk Lime, $188.11/ton, Texas Lime Company; Bagged Lime, $300.00/ton, Texas Lime Company; Powdered Activated Carbon, $0.495/lb., Thatcher Company, Inc.; Sulfur Dioxide, $790.00/ton, Brenntag Southwest, Inc.; Sodium Hydroxide, $509.00/ton, Brenntag Southwest, Inc.; Polymer, $1.24/lb., Polydyne, Inc.; Fluoride, $2.09/gal, Univar USA, Inc.
