Motion unanimous. <br />Action was taken on the following fagade grant request: <br />A $2,500 50150 match grant request for fagade improvements was approved for 134 <br />11 SW, Spencer Orthodontics <br />A motion was made by Commissioner Caffey and seconded by Commissioner Coyle to return <br />Chairman Dux back to the commission, motion carried. <br />Commissioner Dux asked the commission if they had any questions of Ms. Flynn about the <br />fagade request. Commissioner Vandiver had asked what method she planned to use to clean the <br />brick. She initially said she planned to sandblast it and then changed it to waterblast. <br />Commissioner Dux talked with her about the different means of cleaning brick, including <br />sandblasting and water blasting. He mentioned that even water blasting not done correctly could <br />damage the brick. He recommended she look into different ways to clean brick and use the <br />gentlest means possible so as not to damage the brick and help preserve her investment. The <br />Certificate of Appropriateness was approved with conditions on the windows and front glass <br />service door at the July S, 2020 meeting. A $2,500 50150 match grant request for fagade <br />improvements was approved for 10 N. Plaza. <br />NAPC Forum is coming up next week August 3. Commissioners Vandiver, Emmite, and Coyle <br />are registered. Cheri is registered too. A confirmation email should have been sent to the <br />commissioners. They will check their email for that, and Cheri will call Stephanie Paul to find <br />out how to log in. <br />Open public meetings will be scheduled for the 2nd week of August while the Historic Resource <br />Survey team is in Paris.
