APPLICATION NUMBER 2020 -H8874 -TX -DJ <br />THE STATE OF TEXAS <br />COUNTY OF LAMAR <br />INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT <br />This Agreement is made and entered into this 10th day of August, 2020, by and between the <br />COUNTY OF LAMAR, acting by and through its governing body, the Commissioners Court, <br />hereinafter referred to as COUNTY, and the CM OF PARIS, acting by and through its governing <br />body, the City Council, hereinafter referred to as CITY, both of Lamar County, State of Texas, <br />witnesseth4 <br />WHEREAS, this Agreement is made underthe authority of Chapter 791, Texas Goverment <br />Code; and, <br />WHEREAS, each governing body, in performing governmental functions or in payingforthe <br />performance of governmental functions hereunder, shall make that performance or those <br />payments from current revenues legally available to that party; and, <br />WHEREAS, each governing body findsthat the performance of this Agreement is in the best <br />interests of both parties, that the undertaking will benefit the public, and that the division of costs <br />fairly compensates the performing party for the services or functions under this agreement; and, <br />WHEREAS, the CITY will make application for a 2020 Byrne Justice Assistance Grant on <br />behalf of the City of Paris and Lamar County; and, <br />WHEREAS, the CITY agrees to act as fiscal agent and to provide the COUNTY $6,687.50 from <br />the JAG award for the 2.024 Justice Assistance Grant Program; and, <br />NOW THEREFORE, the COUNTY and CITY agree as follows. <br />CITY agrees to pay COUNTY a total of $6,687.50 from the 2024 JAG Grant funds received. <br />
