Paris Visitors & Convention Council Board of Directors <br />Monday, June 15, 2020 <br />4:00 pm <br />Members Present: Chadlee Johnston, Brittney Keys, Tony Corso, Dustin Broadway, Lea Emerson, Bud Mistry, Grayson Path, <br />Vicki Ballard, Greg Wilson, Mark Pankaj, Trey Glascock, and Ryan Whitaker. <br />Staff Present: Becky Semple, Gina Crawford and Paul Allen. <br />Chadlee Johnston called the meeting to order at 4:04 pm. <br />Introduction of new City Manager, Grayson Path. <br />Minutes: A motion to approve May minutes was made by Mihir Pankaj, seconded by Trey Glascock. Motion passed <br />unanimously. <br />Financials: A motion to approve May financials was made by Trey Glascock, seconded by Tony Corso. Motion passed <br />unanimously. <br />New Business: Becky Semple presented funding request for the Dixie Youth Baseball Division 1 State Tournament on August 1- <br />4, 2020. They asked for $2500.00, based on scoring criteria the amount recommended was $2000.00. Becky Semple <br />presented funding request for the Dixie Youth Baseball Division 2 State Tournament on August 1-4, 2020. A motion to approve <br />both tournaments for $4000, $2000 each Division was made by Mihir Pankaj, seconded by Bud Mistry. Motion passed <br />unanimously. Becky Semple presented funding request for Uncle Jesse Big Bass Classic on October 24, 2020. They asked for <br />$2500.00, based on scoring criteria the amount recommended was $1250.00. A motion to approve $1250.00 was made by <br />Ryan Whitaker, seconded by Lea Emerson. Motion passed unanimously. <br />Paul Allen stated the SDBA drag boats races was a success, they had 76 boats. There is a ladies golf group here for the week <br />and are playing at the Country Club. He then stated the pump track is looking good and coming along. Asphalt is planned to <br />start next week. Red Bull Championship will be looked at by the bike committee to decide if we should apply for it to happen <br />here in Paris. <br />Adiourn: Mihir Pankaj made the motion to adjourn <br />Meeting adjourned at 4:30 p.m <br />Respectfully Submitted, <br />Gina Crawford <br />
