HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF PARIS <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS MEETING <br />1.00 GEORGE WRIGHT HOMES <br />-CORRECTED MINUTES OF March 17, 2020 <br />Present at the Meeting: <br />Crary Savage - Chairman of the Board of Commissioners <br />Bonnie Bilinsky - Commissioner of the Board of Commissioners <br />Shatara Moore - Commissioner of the Board of Commissioners. <br />:Sally Ruthart - Executive Director <br />1. Meeting Called to order at 12:43 pm onTuesday, March 17, 2020 by Chairman of the Board of <br />Commissioners, Gary Savage. <br />2. Having three Board Members present, a quorum, Mr. Savage thanked and welcomed everyone <br />to the meeting. Absent Hoard Members included Dewayne Dangerfield and T K Haynes.. <br />3. Citizens' Forum Opened and closed with no one present to speak:. <br />4. Minutes from the February 18, 2024 Meeting <br />Minutes were approved with a motion made by Ms. Bilinsky and seconded by Ms. Moore. Passed <br />3-0. <br />5. UNFINISHED BUSINESS: NONE <br />6. NEW BUSINESS: <br />a. Occupancy Report - Public Housing has 2 vacancies and Section 8 has 28.5 current assisted <br />vouchers and 9 people with vouchers searching for units. <br />b. Financial Report was discussed and reported to the Board with bank statements and graphs for <br />PH and Section 8. Ending bank statement balances for February - Public Housing - $357,717,56 <br />Section 8 - $494,911.10. <br />c. Mrs. Ruthart reported that Annual Inspection Repairs are currently being done by the <br />Maintenance Staff and ate down 360/a from last year. <br />d. Mrs. Ruthart reported the information gathered regarding RAD. She also reported that she was <br />still going to keep gathering; information so that the Board could make an informed decision. <br />e. Mrs. Ruthart reported on the new requirement for government employees to complete the <br />Cyber Security Training (Texas House Bill 3834 provided'by Texas Municipal League <br />Intergovernmental Risk: Pool). All employees that use the PHA computers are required and will <br />complete the training which is a short video and a written test. <br />f. Mrs. Ruthart reported that due to the Corona virus (COVID-19) that the PHA office and <br />laundry mats are going to be closed until April 6, 2020 to limit the spread of the virus. Employees <br />will still be working; but the office and laundries will be not be open for walk-ins/visitors. <br />7. RESOLUTIONS: <br />2019-008 Five Year Plan Subinission <br />Motion made by Ms. Moore and seconded by Ms. Bilinsky passed 3-0 <br />S. No further business or questions, a motion for adjournment was made by Mr. Savage and <br />seconded by Ms. Bilinsky. Motion passed 3-0. The meeting was adjourned at. l :12 pm. <br />
