Item Nos. 13-18 <br />TO: Mayor & Council <br />Grayson Path, City Manager <br />FROM: Janice Ellis, City Clerk <br />SUBJECT: SOLID WASTE COLLECTION PERMITS <br />DATE: September 14, 2020 <br />BACKGROUND: Chapter 16 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paris regulates the <br />collecting and transporting of solid waste from commercial and industrial units within the City of <br />Paris. Chapter 16 requires that a person or entity must first obtain a solid waste collection permit <br />from the City prior to using the public streets, alleys or thoroughfares within the corporate limits <br />of the City. Solid waste collection permits expire September 30th of each year. <br />STATUS OF ISSUE: The following persons/entities have filed an application, submitted the <br />required certificate of liability insurance and are current on use fees: <br />Sanitation Solutions <br />Raymond Tabor d/b/a Waste Connection of Northeast Texas <br />Richard Mark Boswell, Jr. d/b/a Dumpster Drop, LLC <br />Nelson and Tanna Stoll d/b/a Countryside Disposal <br />Mike Viehe, Jr. and Justin Miller d/b/a MJ Outdoors, LLC <br />In addition, JOTS Rentals, LLC, has made application and provided the required certificate of <br />liability insurance. <br />BUDGET: NA. <br />RECOMMENDATION: Approve Ordinances authorizing the issuance of a solid waste <br />collection permit for each of the persons/entities listed above. <br />Item Nos. 13-18 will each require a separate vote and requires five affirmative votes for passage. <br />
