combinations which could be used for special seasonal and holiday events. We think the ability
to light the plaza will add to the overall quality of life in our town.
The products we propose come with a 10 year warranty. Main Street is currently spending
around $100041500 every other year for Christmas lighting, with repairs performed the years
in-between. Additionally, Parks allocates many man hours of labor each year installing the
lighting on the trunks. The installation of a long term, durable lighting solution is our
recommendation.
We sent out for bid to three local companies for installation cost. One declined to submit, one
submitted an incomplete bid, Hargis Electric appears to be the only complete bid in the amount
$29,645. Installation of the wiring on the fountain bowls will be done by Bryco & Co from Ft.
Worth. Scott Walker from Bryco is familiar with the fountain having worked on it several times.
He has quoted $500 for installing the wiring on the fountain.
BUDGET: $31,000 using money from the 2019-2020 Community Development budget.
RECOMMENDATION:
Hire Hargis Electric & Bryco & CO to install landscape lighting for plaza.
