<br />RESOLUTION NO. <br /> <br />90-094 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Lamar County Chamber of <br />Awareness Task Force is desirous of applying <br />Alcohol Abuse Prevention Demonstration <br />Community Partnership Program; and, <br /> <br />Commerce Drug <br />for Drug Use and <br />Grants In The <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the initial goal of the task force is to <br />organize and support a cooperative, county-wide effort to <br />reduce substance abuse through education, publicizing of <br />treatment resources and encouragement of citizen support of <br />law enforcement; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris deems it to <br />be in the best interest of the citizens of Paris to join with <br />the Drug Awareness Task Force of Lamar County to create a <br />coalition dedicated to prevention of substance abuse in our <br />community; NOW THEREFORE, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, <br />that a letter to the OSAP Programs joining the Drug Awareness <br />Task Force of Lamar County to create a coalition dedicated to <br />the pr event ion of subs tance abuse in our communi ty in the <br />form of Exhibit A, Attached hereto, is approved. <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Manager, Michael <br />E.
