Discuss hangar rental fees/revenue.
Carla explained that this item had been requested by a previous board member in an effort
to review the current rates at Cox Field in comparison to similar size airports. She
presented a table of monthly rental rates by price per square foot of hangar space for
discussion by the board.
Jerry explained the basis of the rates based on size of door opening. Scott Avery discussed
typical wing span and significance of for door size. Scott Hearne noted that he rented a
hangar in Bonham years ago for more than the Paris hangar rates. He feels the Paris rates
are underpriced, and recommended a rate increase to be over $200 minimum.
Scott Avery advised of the rates are locked into the current leases, so rates would only
increase with new lease agreements. Carla advised that if they want to discuss and consider
a rate change it would need to be discussed on a future agenda.
