For the purpose of this definition, a chamber shall be regarded as <br />enclosed when, during the time combustion occurs, only apertures, ducts, <br />stacks, flues or chimneys necessary to provide combustion air and permit the <br />escape of exhaust gas are open. Recreational fires and bonfires are types of <br />open burning." <br />"REPAIR GARAGE. A building, structure or portion thereof used for <br />servicing or repairing motor vehicles. This occupancy shall also include <br />garages involved in minor repair, modification and servicing of motor vehicles <br />for items such as lube changes, inspections, windshield repair or replacement, <br />shocks, minor part replacement, and other such minor repairs." <br />"SELF-SERVICE STORAGE FACILITY. Real property designed and <br />used for the purpose of renting or leasing individual storage spaces to <br />customers for the purpose of storing and removing personal property on a <br />self-service basis." <br />"STANDBY PERSONNEL. Qualified fire service personnel, approved by <br />the Fire Chief, whose only duty shall be to perform constant patrols of the <br />protected premises and keep watch for fire. Charges for utilization <br />shall be as normally calculated by the jurisdiction." <br />"UPGRADED OR REPLACED FIRE ALARM SYSTEM. A fire alarm <br />system that is upgraded or replaced includes, but is not limited to the <br />following: <br />• Replacing one single board or fire alarm control unit component with <br />a newer model <br />• Installing a new fire alarm control unit in addition to or in place of an <br />existing one <br />• Conversion from a horn system to an emergency voice/alarm <br />communication system <br />• Conversion from a conventional system to one that utilizes <br />addressable or analog devices <br />"The following are not considered an upgrade or replacement: <br />• Firmware updates <br />• Software updates <br />• Replacing boards of the same model with chips utilizing the same or <br />newer firmware" <br />Section 307.1.1, General, shall be amended to read as follows: <br />
