POLK ST., FROM A SINGLE-FAMILY <br />DWELLING DISTRICT NO. 2 (SF -2) TO A TWO-FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT <br />NO. 2 (2F); DIRECTING A CHANGE ACCORDINGLY IN THE OFFICIAL ZONING <br />MAP OF THE CITY; PROVIDING A REPEALER CLAUSE, A SEVERABILITY <br />CLAUSE, A SAVINGS CLAUSE, A PENALTY CLAUSE; AND PROVIDING AN <br />EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />City Manager Grayson Path explained Steven Asay had demolished the dilapidated <br />structure on this property, and was asking for a zoning change so that he could build a new <br />duplex. He said existing zoning on the north side of E. Polk Street was already zoned 2F, and <br />the property directly south of 2126 was zoned 2F. Mr. Path also said the zoning change request <br />was not consistent with the comprehensive plan, but would allow a use that already existed in the <br />
