= 1. <br />SECTION 0140 0 <br />1.01 SUMMARY <br />A. Laboratory Testing <br />All tests which require the services of a laboratory to determine compliance <br />with the Contract Documents and as specified herein shall be perfor���ed by <br />the OWNER's testing laboratory. <br />Z Quality assurance testing will be provided by the OWNER. <br />E. Field testing shall be conducted by the CONTRACTOR as described in the Technical <br />Specifications. <br />A. Control the quality of work produced and verify that the work performed meets the <br />standards of quality established in the Contract Documents. <br />1. Inspect the work performed by the CONTRACTOR, subcontractors, and <br />suppliers. Correct defective work. <br />2. Inspect products to be incorporated into the project. Provide only those <br />products that comply with the Contract Documents. <br />3. Verify conformance of the work and products with the Contract Documents <br />before notifying the OWNER of need for testing. <br />4. Provide consumable construction materials of adequate quality to provide a <br />finished product that complies with the Contract Documents. <br />5. Provide and pay for the service of any professional materials re -testing, using <br />OWNER's testing laboratory to insure that products proposed for use fully <br />comply with the Contract Documents. <br />6. Perform tests as indicated in this and other sections of the Specifications. <br />Schedule the time and sequence of testing with the OWNER. Testing is to <br />be observed by the OWNER or ENGINEER. <br />7. Provide labor, materials, tools, equipment, and related items for testing by <br />the OWNER including, but not limited to temporary construction required for <br />testing and operation of new and existing utilities. <br />B. Provide Certified Test Reports on products or constructed works to be incorporated <br />into the project as required by Section 01 33 00 — Submittals. Reports are to indicate <br />that products or constructed works are in compliance with the Contract Documents. <br />C. Provide and maintain a written Quality Control Program that establishes the methods <br />of assuring compliance with the Contract Documents. <br />D. Designate Quality Control personnel at the start of the project. These personnel shall <br />have the authority to monitor the work effectively and to implement and enforce the <br />Quality Control program. <br />E. Assist the OWNER and OWNER's testing organization to perform quality assurance <br />activities. <br />Provide access to the work and to the Manufacturer's operation at all times <br />work is in progress. <br />City of Paris, Texas 01 40 00 -- Page 1 of 4 Quality Control <br />9/10/2020 <br />
