<br />RESOLUTION NO. 89-010 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION ORDERING AN ELECTION TO BE HELD ON THE <br />FIRST SATURDAY IN MAY, 1989, SAME BEING THE 6TH DAY OF MAY, <br />1989, BETWEEN THE HOURS OF 7:00 O'CLOCK A.M. AND 7:00 <br />O'CLOCK P.M., BY THE QUALIFIED VOTERS OF WARDS 4, 5 AND 7 OF <br />THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, WITH ABSENTEE VOTING FOR <br />THE SAME BEING CONDUCTED IN THE CITY HALL ANNEX WEST, FROM <br />THE 17TH DAY OF APRIL, 1989, THROUGH THE 2ND DAY OF MAY, <br />1989, MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY, BETWEEN THE HOURS OF 8:00 A.M. <br />AND 5: 00 0' CLOCK P. M., FOR THE PURPOSE OF ELECTING THE <br />COUNCILMEN FROM EACH OF SAID WARDS TO SERVE AS MEMBERS OF <br />THE CITY COUNCIL FOR THE ENSUING TWO YEARS. <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />PARIS: <br /> <br />Section 1. That an election be held by the qualified <br />voters of Wards 4, 5 and 7 of the City of Paris, Paris, <br />Texas, on the first Saturday in May, 1989, same being the <br />6th day of May, 1989, between the hours of 7:00 o'clock A.M. <br />and 7:00 o'clock P.M., for the purpose of electing three (3) <br />members of the City Council of the City of Paris for two <br />year terms, as follows: <br /> <br />One Councilman from Ward Four (4) <br />One Councilman from Ward Five (5) <br />One Councilman from Ward Seven (7) <br /> <br />as provided in Paragraphs 2, 3, 5, 6 and 7 of Order entered <br />March 15, 1976, in Civil Action No. P-7s-3-CA, in the <br />District Court of the United States for the Eastern District <br />of Texas, Paris Division, and as provided in the Charter of <br />the City of Paris and the laws of the State of Texas wherein <br />they do not conflict with said Order. <br /> <br />Section 2. That the polling places and election <br />officials of such election shall be as follows: <br /> <br />WARD FOUR (4): <br /> <br />Polling Place: City of Paris Police & Courts Building <br />811 Bonham Street <br /> <br />Officials: Ruth E. Welch, Presiding Judge <br />Debbie Austin, Alternate Presiding <br />Judge <br /> <br />WARD FIVE (5): <br /> <br />Polling Place: City Hall Annex West <br />150 1st S.E. Street <br /> <br />Officials: Reinhardt Hollje, Presiding Judge <br />Greg Hollje, Alternate Presiding Judge <br /> <br />WARD SEVEN (7): <br />
