<br />RESOLUTION NO. 89-047 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br />unsigned lease <br />to 1970; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, thereafter Mobile Oil Company assigned all its <br />interest in said tanks to Mack Wilson Petroleum Distributors, <br />Inc., Paris, Texas; and, <br /> <br />Mobile Oil Company furnished tanks under an <br />agreement to the City of Paris at Cox Field prior <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Wilson Oil Company has tendered to the City of <br />Paris a Bill of Sale, a copy of which is attached hereto as <br />Exhibit A conveying such tanks to the City of Paris; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Paris did abandon such tanks upon the <br />installation of new tanks which complied with State of Texas and <br />Federal Government regulations; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, such tanks are surplus and create confusion for the <br />flying public; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the airport Fixed Base Operator has requested that <br />the pumps on said tanks be removed; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is deemed to be in the best interest of the City <br />of Paris that said tanks be removed in order to reduce or <br />eliminate the cost of complying with regulations governing the <br />same; NOW, THEREFORE, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL, OF THE CITY OF PARIS, <br />That the Bill of Sale attached hereto as Exhibit A, be, and the <br />same is hereby accepted by the City of Paris; and, <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the tanks described in the Bill <br />of Sale attached hereto as Exhibit A are declared to be surplus <br />and of no benefit to the City of Paris and the removal of the <br />same by City forces is hereby directed. <br /> <br />Passed and adopted this 8th day of May, 1989. <br /> <br />s:~<- -.J..
