REGULAR MEETING MINUTES <br />HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION <br />WEDNESDAY January 13th, 2021 <br />Present: <br />Chris Dux, Chairman <br />Laura Caffey, Vice Chair <br />Linda Vandiver, Secretary <br />Matt Coyle <br />Glee Emmite <br />Jennifer Long <br />Ryan Matthews <br />Julia <br />City Staff: <br />Absent: <br />Linda Knox, Council Liaison <br />Cheri Bedford, HPO <br />Chairman Dux called the meeting to order at 4:04 p.m. and welcomed Ryan Matthews. <br />Meeting minutes for December 9, 2020 were approved by acclamation. <br />Commissioner Caffey gave a status update on the property located at 123 Bonham owned by Jeff <br />and Mary Faber. She made a site visit to assist the Faber's with their Certificate of <br />Appropriateness amendments. Upon investigation, there was evidence of a wooden storefront. <br />She working with them on an appropriate design to be presented at the February 2021 meeting. <br />Chairman Dux led the commission in the review of Historic Preservation Commission Rules of <br />Procedure. The original, and a version updated with new meeting times and signatures, was sent <br />in the agenda packet to the commission. After review, the commission made note of revisions <br />they felt were appropriate. Commissioner Emmite made the motion to approve the current <br />updated version of the Rules of Procedure as presented. Commissioner Coyle seconded the <br />motion. Motion carried. The commission will receive a revised copy with edits suggested at the <br />February meeting. <br />The commission reviewed some of the Historic Preservation Ordinance. Ideas on how to inform <br />property owners the boundaries of the historic district, and education on the Historic Districts <br />ordinances were discussed. <br />Revisions to the Historic Preservation Rules of Procedure and outreach tools for property owners <br />will be added to a future agenda. <br />The meeting adjourn at 5:13 p.m. <br />Respectfully submitte y Cheri Bedford <br />Signed thi day of , 2021 <br />Chairman <br />
