MINUTES OF THE REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS <br />February 8, 2021 <br />The City Council of the City of Paris met for a regular session at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, <br />February 8, 2021, at the City Council Chamber, 107 E. Kaufman, Paris, Texas. <br />Present: Mayor: Steven Clifford <br />Council Members: Paula Portugal; Renae Stone; Gary Savage; <br />Reginald Hughes; Linda Knox; and Clayton Pilgrim <br />City Staff: Grayson Path, City Manager; Stephanie Harris, City <br />Attorney; Janice Ellis, City Clerk; Gene Anderson; <br />Finance Director; Thomas McMonigle, Fire Chief; <br />Randy Tuttle, Interim Police Chief; Russell <br />Thrasher, Interim EMS Director; M.A. Smith, <br />Public Works Director; Doug Harris, Utilities <br />Director; Clyde Crews, Fire Marshal; and Sandy <br />Collard, HR Director <br />Opening A aenda <br />1. Call meeting to order. <br />Mayor Clifford called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m. <br />2. Invocation. <br />Finance Director Gene Anderson gave the invocation. <br />3. Pledge of Allegiance. <br />Council Member Portugal led the pledge. <br />4. Citizens' forum. <br />Latrell Lacey - W. Houston Street — she said she knew the White Unity Rally was going <br />to be held outside the city but wandered if anyone knew whose property it would take place. She <br />said there needed to be an investigation into the location. <br />Grayson Path, City Manager — he said the White Unity Rally was outside of the <br />jurisdiction of the City, but that it was still under investigation. <br />Taisley Scoggins - W. Houston Street — she said she was concerned about the KKK <br />conference and putting out a resolution wasn't enough, and if they wanted to resolve it there <br />needed to be a deeper look into racism. <br />
