SPECIAL MEETING <br />MINUTES <br />CITY OF PARIS BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT <br />CITY OF PARIS - CITY HALL <br />COUNCIL CHAMBERS CONFEREDIC,,9,4 RC40 <br />PARIS.TEXAS <br />TUESDAY JANUARY 5 2021 <br />12:00 O'CLOCK P -M <br />1, The Board ofAdjustment meetingwas called to order by Ruth Ann Alsobrook at 12:12p.m, <br />The following members were present: Ruth Ann Alsobrook, Jerry Harting, William <br />Sanders, Chris Fitzgerald and Larry Walker. <br />Also present were Roger Colson and Grayson Path. <br />1 Approval of minutes from previous meeting. (August 4, 2020) <br />Motion was made by Larry Walker, seconded by Chris Fitzgerald to approve minutes for the <br />August 4h, 2020 meeting. Motion carried 4:0. <br />Public hearing to consider and take action on the petition of Bailey Asay, on behalf of <br />Steven Asay, on of 1, Block A, of Asay Properties Addition CB 25313, being located at <br />2126 E Polk Street. <br />The applicant requests a variance of Section 9-201 Area Regulations of the Zoning <br />Ordinance 1710, which provides as follows: <br />22F Zoning requires a minimum of 60' lot width. <br />The applicant is requesting a variance to reduce the required lot width from 60' to 59,8' at 2126 <br />E Polk Street, <br />Board Member William Sanders arrives at 12:15 p.m. <br />Public hearing was declared open. <br />Roger Colson, Building Official, presented a variance request to the board. Roger stated that the <br />Planning & Zoning board and City Council approved the lot in December of 2020 for the plat <br />p4wn-to bu-4�1- <br />on this lot and in order to do so he needs a variance for the width.. Lastly, Roger presented a letter <br />of opposition that was sent in by neighbor Bernardo Luna Rangel of 2140 E Polk Street stating <br />concerns that the new home will be too close to his and would decrease the value of his house. <br />front ofthe Planning & Zoning board since this lot does not seem wide enough for a duplex. <br />
