<br />PROFESSIONAL SERVICE CONTRACT <br /> <br />STATE OF TEXAS <br />COUNTY OF LAMAR <br /> <br />~ <br />~ <br /> <br />KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS: <br /> <br />This contract, entered into this 18th day of May, 1988, <br />by and between the City of Paris, a municipal corporation of <br />the Lamar County, Texas, hereinafter referred to as CITY, <br />and Thomas E. Hunt, III, an attorney licensed to practice <br />law by the State Bar of Texas, a citizen of the City of <br />Paris, Lamar County, Texas, hereinafter called HUNT, <br />wherein the parties contract and agree as follows: <br />1. That HUNT agrees to serve as Delinquent Tax <br />Collection Attorney from June 1, 1988, through June 30, <br />1990, performing those duties in accordance with the Texas <br />Property Tax Code. <br />2. That CITY agrees to pay HUNT for his services as <br />Delinquent Tax Collection Attorney, fifteen (15%) percent of <br />additional penalty assessed against ad valorem taxes payable <br />to CITY and delinquent on July 1, 1988, and each year <br />thereafter, and all other attorney fees permitted to be <br />charged by the Texas Property Tax Code upon which tax suits <br />have been filed. <br />IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties hereto have caused the <br />contract to be executed this 18th day of May, 1988. <br /> <br />CITY OF PARIS <br /> <br />BY: <br /> <br />Billy Joe Burnett, Mayor <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br />
