<br />RESOLUTION NO. 88-046 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris is <br />desirous of continuing to cooperate with the Texas <br />Department of Highways and Public Transportation in <br />providing safe streets and highways in and near the City of <br />Paris; and, <br /> <br />\-HIEREAS, the Texas Department of Highways and Public <br />Transportation did in Minute Order No. 86765, passed on the <br />27th day of January, 1988, offer to the City of Paris to <br />improve approximately 4.0 miles of 24th Street S.E. at an <br />estimated cost to said department of $550,000.00, beginning <br />at the Texas & Pacific Railroad Right-of-Way South to F.M. <br />1507 as described in said Minute Order attached hereto as <br />Exhibit A; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is deemed to be in the best interest of the <br />citizens of Paris that the City of Paris contribute <br />$155,000.00, and approve said Minute Order; NOW, THEREFORE, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />PARIS, That the provisions of Texas Department of Highways <br />and Public Transportation's Minute Order No. 86765, be, and <br />the same is hereby accepted. <br /> <br />Passed and adopted this 16th day of May, 1988. <br /> <br />~ ~* -i' <br />Billy J urnett, Mayor <br /> <br />../ <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />'\-n~n,'",~,-,~~~ <br />Mattie Cunning am, C1.t er <br /> <br />APPROVED AS <br /> <br /> <br />ty Attorney <br />
