Mr. Eyler then moved to item #4 regarding discussion and possible action concerning the closure of crossover on NE Loop 286 at Home Depot. The discussion of this item also included discussion of items 5 through 7. Mr. Taylor informed members that the local TXDOT office was also applying for funds through the Capital Improvement Project to close and make necessary changes to the crossovers on NE Loop 286 at Home Depot, 29th NE, Spur 139, and Clement Road. Total cost for these changes is estimated at $1,547,674.70 which will be funded entirely through the Capital Improvement Project. Mr. Taylor said extended turn lanes and ability to make U-turns a various intersections would be included in the project. Mr. Taylor said the closing of the crossovers is needed because of the increased traffic and accidents on NE Loop 286 at these crossovers. After discussion Mr. Eyler called for an individual vote on each item. Mr. Eyler asked for a motion concerning the closing of crossover at NE Loop and Home Depot. Mr. Darst made a motion to recommend council approve and support the TXDOT request to move forward with applying for the Capital Improvement Project funds to complete this project. A second was made by Mr. Moore and motion passed 5-0. Mr. Eyler then moved to item #5 regarding discussion and possible action concerning the closure of crossover on NE Loop 286 at 29th NE. Mr. Eyler called for a motion and Mr. Richards made a motion to recommend council approve and support the TXDOT request to move forward with applying for the Capital Improvement Project funds to complete this project. A second was made by Mr. Moore and motion passed 5-0. Mr. Eyler then moved to item #6 regarding discussion and possible action concerning the closure of crossover on NE Loop 286 at Spur 139. Mr. Eyler called for a motion and Mr. Darst made a motion to recommend council approve and support the TXDOT request to move forward with applying for the Capital Improvement Project funds to complete this project. A second was made by Mr. Moore and motion passed 5-0. Mr. Eyler then moved to item #8 regarding any old business. There was none.
