RESOLUTION NO. 87-022 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris has been made aware of the fact that Lots 10 and 12, City Block 223, within the corporate limits of the City of Paris, have a zoning classification of General Retail District (GR) with Commercial District (C) immediately across Lamar Ave. to the North and the remainder of the property on the South side of Lamar Ave. in the same block being zoned Commercial District (C) also; and, WHEREAS, it is deemed to be in the best interest of the citizens of Paris that such zoning classification be reviewed by the Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of Paris to consider changing such zoning classification to a Commercial District (C) and in the event that it finds the same should be changed that such recommendation should be made to the City Council for final action; and WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper that a public hearing be set before the Planning and Zoning Commission at 7: 00 0' clock P.M., in the City Council Room, City Hall, Paris, Texas, on the 2nd day of March, 1987 and before the City Council at 5:15 o'clock P.M. on the 5th day of March, 1987; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, that the matter of zoning classification change on Lots 10 and 12, City Block 223, from a General Retail District (GR) to a Commercial District (C) be, and the same is hereby referred to the Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of Paris for its recommendation concerning the proper zoning of the same; and, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a public hearing be held by and before the Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of Paris at 7:00 o'clock P.M., in the City Council Room, City Hall, Paris, Texas, on the 2nd day of March, 1987 and a public hearing be held by and before the City Council of the City of Paris at 5:15 o'clock P.M. in the Council Room, City Hall, Paris, Texas on the 5th day of March, 1987, said public hearings to be held concerning appropriate zoning on said property.
