<br />PARIS FIRE DEPARTMENT HISTORICAL PROJECT <br /> <br />Sponsored By <br /> <br />The Lamar County Historical Society <br /> <br />Paris, Texas <br /> <br />PURPOSE - The Lamar County Historical Society, in cooperation with the Paris <br />Fire Department, shall seek to catalog, preserve, and/or display such <br />items as shall be deemed historical in nature, pertaining directly <br />or indirectly to the Fire Department of the City of Paris. <br /> <br />ADMINISTRATION - The project shall be administered by the Lamar County <br />Historical Society Project Chairman Debbie Burks, Paris Fire Chief <br />Steve Burgin, and Lamar County Historical Society President Glen <br />Gambill. <br /> <br />OWNERSHIP - Ownership of items currently in the possession of the Fire <br />Department of the City of Paris shall remain the property of said <br />department as long as those items shall be maintained in a manner which <br />shall preserve them. If no longer retained or maintained by the Fire <br />Department of the City of Paris, ownership of all such items shall <br />be transferred to the Lamar County Historical Society. <br /> <br />Future items shall be accepted at the discretion of the project <br />administration. Those items which shall be donated after the date of <br />this agreement shall be the property of the Lamar County Historical <br />Society unless the donor specifically request that such items become <br />the property of the Fire Department of the City of Paris, in which case <br />ownership must be stated in the gift agreement. All furniture (i.e. filing <br />cabinets, display cases, etc.) purchased by the Society shall remain <br />the property of said Society. <br /> <br />AMENDMENTS - This agreement may be amended with the approval of both the <br />Lamar County Historical Society and the Paris Fire Department. <br /> <br />TERMINATION - This agreement may be terminated at the request of either the <br />Lamar County Historical Society or the Fire Department, City of Paris, <br />by written request and with at least thirty days notice. Termination <br />may be completed prior to thirty days if agreeable to both parties. <br /> <br />The Lamar County Historical Society and the Fire Department of the City of <br />Paris hereby agree to abide by the conditions set forth herein, <br />effective date: May 11, 1987 <br /> <br />Lamar County Historical Society President <br /> <br />Date <br /> <br />Lamar County Historical Society Project Chairman <br /> <br />Date <br /> <br />City of Paris Fire Chief <br /> <br />Date <br /> <br />Approved as to Form: <br /> <br />Paris City Attorney <br /> <br />Date <br /> <br />EXHIBIT "A" <br />
