She said it would lo <br />bad for the City to remove Martin Luther King's name from the park and feels like they shoul <br />consider other options. <br />Samantha Hughes, 627-5b N.E. — she said she did not think that it was a dishonor i 0. <br />change the name of the park from Martin Luther King to Joan Mathis, and that he already had <br />street named after him. I <br />Kimberly Johnson Stone, 820 Majestic — she said the park should be left as Martin Luth <br />King Park, because he is a historical figure and fought for everyone. i <br />B. Recognition of Yulanda Robins Reeves f®r her outstanding organization of the <br />Junteenth Parade. <br />C. Recognition of Don Yarbrough and the Weald Workers of Lamar County for their <br />zountless volunteer hours in helping to make Paris beautiful. <br />Mayor Portugal said Mr. Yarbrough could not be at this meeting and asked that this ite <br />be tabled to the next meeting. A Motion to table this item was made by Council Member Panki <br />and seconded by Council Member Savage. Motion carried, 7 ayes — nays. <br />Consent Agenda <br />Mayor Portugal inquired of Council Members if they wished to pull any items from t <br />w <br />consent agenda for discussion. There being none, a Motion to approve the consent agenda I <br />made by Council Member Savage and seconded by Council Member Pankaj. Motion carried, <br />ayes — 0 nays. <br />5.
