He stated that the process
initially started by Skyler Burchinal caused a lot of interest in development, causing a need for
vehicle access. Mr. Dacus said that the City wants to take this as an opportunity to grow the
airport and give developers the access they need. New private hangars could be developed to the west. Presently, it is unclear
for certain who will follow through will hangar development; however, Load Trail is interested
in building a corporate size Hanger to the north along taxi way A.
After some questions about funding and TXDOT procedures, City Manager, Grayson Path stated
that the estimated cost for the North/South taxi way would be around $285,000 and the
East/West would be around $112,000 depending on how many people extend and how far they
have to go. Mr. Path went on to say that the City would offer developers a Pro Rata agreement in
which they would pay the full up front cost, and then if someone comes along and needs access
to the taxi way, the developer would then be reimbursed.
5. Discuss and possibly act on the reassignment of the Airport Ground Lease Agreement for
Hangar Q, from Larry David Ervin to O&HAir, LLC.
City Clerk Janice Ellis said the City had received a request from David Ervin to reassign a
ground lease for private Hangar Q to Jay Hodge.
