RESOLUTION NO. 87-096 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris has received a request from David Glass and Barney Bray, III, for extension of water and sewer service with lift station and force main to property being developed as Morningside North Addition, adjacent to the South side of Highway 82 East, which could best be served by a pro-rata water extension from the intersection of Carrie Lane with a concrete drive serving Glass Motors from Highway 82 East, and a sewer main with lift station constructed on the East end of the property being developed as Morningside North with force main from said lift station West to sewer manhole near the intersection of Carrie Lane and the afore described concrete drive and existing gravity sewer system; and, WHEREAS, the developer's engineer, Brandon Chaney, P. E., has prepared preliminary plans, specifications and estimates of the total cost of the project and delivered same to the City Manager on August 31, 1987; and, WHEREAS, it would be right and proper to have a public hearing concerning the same at the regular council meeting on October 15, 1987, at which time the City Council will determine whether or not the pro-rata project should be had; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, That a public hearing be held by and before the City Council of the City of Paris in regular session convened on the 15th day of October, 1987, at 5:15 o'clock P.M. in the Council Room, City Hall, Paris, Texas, to hear all matters relating to the matter of a pro-rata waterline and sewerline with lift station and force main extension to property being developed as Morningside North Addition, adjacent to the South side of Highway 82 East. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That notice of the above described hearing shall be given by advertisement one time on the 20th day of September, 1987, in a newspaper published in the City of Paris with additional written notice being given by depositing in the U. S. Mail on or before the 25th day of September, 1987, a day which is more than 14 days before the date of such hearing, to all owners of property abutting such water and sewer extension, as the names of such owners are shown on the certified tax rolls of the City of Paris, and to the addresses shown thereon.
