Item No. 15 <br />Memorandum <br />TO: Mayor, Mayor Pro -Tem & City Council <br />Grayson Path, City Manager <br />FROM: Andrew Mack, AICP Director Planning & Community Development <br />SUBJECT: Appoint Council Liaison to P&Z Master Trails & Sidewalk Plan Sub - <br />Committee <br />DATE: August 9, 2021 <br />BACKGROUND & DISCUSSION <br />At its meeting held on August 2, 2021 the Planning & Zoning Commission held a brief discussion <br />regarding the 12 month hiatus in the enforcement of requirements for constructing sidewalks on <br />single building lots. They were in full support of the pause on sidewalk requirements and formed <br />a sub -committee to develop a Master Trails & Sidewalk Plan for update to the City's <br />Comprehensive Plan. The two appointees from the Commission are the Chair Chad Lindsey & <br />Commissioner Francine Neely. Staff is requesting that a least one City Council member be <br />appointed as liaison to this sub -committee. Several city staff members will serve on the committee <br />and include representation from the Trail De Paris Board as well. <br />Recommendation <br />Appointment of a least 1 City Council Member to the P&Z Master Trails & Sidewalk Plan Sub - <br />Committee is recommended. <br />
