RESOLUTION NO. 87-092 WHEREAS, the City of Paris did by deed dated March 27, 1984, receive a three-tenths (3/10) undivided interest in and to Lots 1, 2 and 2A of City Block No. 20l-B upon which the Chamber of Commerce of Lamar County office is located; and, WHEREAS, said property had previously been pledged to secure a note for purchase and for remodeling of the building; and, WHEREAS, arrangements have been made for refinancing of the balance of said loan with First Federal Savings and Loan Association, Paris, Texas, which will require the joint execution of a deed of trust by Chamber of Commerce of Lamar County, Inc. and the City of Paris; and, WHEREAS, the City of Paris will not be obligated under the note to First Federal Savings and Loan Association secured by said deed of trust; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, That the Mayor of the City of Paris, Billy Joe Burnett, be, and he is hereby authorized and directed to execute on behalf of the City of Paris the deed of trust to First Federal Savings and Loan Association securing a note in the amount of $28,400.00 made by Chamber of Commerce of Lamar County, Inc.
