He said the procedure for establishing permanent zoning on annexed <br />territory was not completed when the Colonial Park Estates was developed with single-family <br />homes. He also said that the Planning and Zoning Commission unanimously recommended <br />approval of the zoning map changes to this property. <br />Mayor Portugal opened the public hearing and asked for anyone wishing to speak in <br />support or opposition of this item to please come forward. City Manager. Graysori�P_atl _said that Russell Thrasher was unable to�be at the <br />meeting but wanted to relay the message that over 21,000 vaccines had been given in the <br />community and they were seeing 20 new positive cases a day. <br />A Motion to approve this item was made by Council Member Savage and seconded by <br />Mayor Pro -Tem Hughes and Council Member Pilgrim. <br />22. Discuss conducting a Paris Building, Development and Code Forum. <br />Council Member Pankaj said he had placed this item on the agenda. He said the City <br />wants to be safe and enforce codes, but contractors were confused about some of the regulations <br />and procedures. He also said he thought the City should put on a forum to introduce new staff <br />members and discuss safety codes and procedures. <br />Mr. Mack explained that a forum is in the planning states for fall in order to effectively <br />address concerns and better articulate the City's policy and better educate various professions <br />with a stakeholder role in building and development. He also said that recently an organizing <br />and planning committee for this program was assembled. Mr. Mack said staff had reached out to <br />
