<br />Furniture II <br /> <br />ITEM C-2: UPHOLSTERED LIBRARY CHAIR: The back posts are <br />straight constructed of quarter round solid oak 1-3/4" x 1-3/4". <br />Front posts constructed of quarter round solid oak 1-3/4" x <br />1-3/4". Arms are l~" x 2-3/S" approx. solid oak that is <br />bevelled and shaped to pattern. The arms are joined to the <br />posts by means of double dowels and glue. <br /> <br />Front and back rails are to be constructed of l-l/S" x 2" <br />solid stock. The rails shall be secured to each front and <br />back post by means of double dowels and glue. Corner blocks, <br />l-l/S" x 2" shall be secured with two HID x 1-3/4" flat-head <br />wood screws and glue. <br /> <br />Back and seat frame constructed of 7/S" solid hardwood, all <br />rails double doweled and glued with corner blocks. Seat frame <br />to receive no sag springs covered wi.:h fabric, insulator, 2" <br />layer of medium firm foam and !i" thick soft foam Wrap. This <br />construction shall be crowned with layer of SNWSO dacron, then <br />upholstered. The seat shall be secured to frame with four #10 <br />x 1-3/4" flat-head wood screws which shall pass through the <br />corner block into the underside of the seat. <br /> <br />The upholstered back shall be attached to seat frame by means <br />of double dowel and glue. All rails are shaped to contour of <br />back. Non-saggin~ webbing shall be woven around and secured <br />to frame. A layer of 1" medium firm foam and !," soft foam <br />wrap shall be applied to the front of back frame. This con- <br />struction shall be covered by upholstery. The back shall be <br /><lttached to the back post by means of two 5/16 - 18 x l~" <br />'Bc!1ine bolt ~I,'ich pass through upholstered back p >s't. into a <br />threaded metal insert embedded into the finished oak back post. <br />All fasteners are concealed by upholstery. <br /> <br />Side rails shall consist of three 7/8" <br />rails dowelled and glued to the posts. <br />of 3/4" diameter vinyl glides. <br /> <br />x 1-3/4" solid stock <br />Trim shall consist <br /> <br />Dimensions are: width-23", depth-24", height-3l", seat <br />height-18", arm height-25". <br /> <br />Upholstery fabric shall be Valley Forge Jaq-lon Specifier II, <br />multiweave 3000, 100% nylon, #3329. <br /> <br />Furnish 48 in all. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />1 <br />
