Item Nos. 14-18 TO: Mayor, Mayor Pro -Tem & City Council & Council Grayson Path, City Manager FROM: Janice Ellis, City Clerk SUBJECT: SOLID WASTE COLLECTION PERMITS DATE: September 13, 2021 BACKGROUND: Article 12.04 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paris regulates the collecting and transporting of solid waste from commercial and industrial units within the City of Paris. Article 12.04 requires that a person or entity must first obtain a solid waste collection permit from the City prior to using the public streets, alleys or thoroughfares within the corporate limits of the City. Solid waste collection permits expire September 301h of each year. STATUS OF ISSUE: The following persons/entities have filed an application, submitted the required certificate of liability insurance and are current on use fees: Sanitation Solutions Richard Mark Boswell, Jr. d/b/a Dumpster Drop, LLC Nelson and Tanna Stoll d/b/a Countryside Disposal JOTS Rentals, L.L.C. Raymond Tabor d/b/a Big R's Roll Off Service BUDGET: NA. RECOMMENDATION: Approve Ordinances authorizing the issuance of a solid waste collection permit for each of the persons/entities listed above. Item Nos. 14-18 will each require a separate vote and requires five affirmative votes for passage.
