<br />RESOLUTION NO, 87-074
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did
<br />heretofore, in Resolution No. 87-050, award the contract for
<br />the construction of Exterior Renovation to City Hall and
<br />Central Fire Station to Landmark Restoration & Waterproofing
<br />Co., Inc.; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the Director of Facilities, Dick Boots,
<br />recommends that Landmark Restoration & Waterproofing Co.,
<br />Inc., be engaged by force account or on a day by day basis
<br />to accomplish Field Orders No.1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 attached
<br />hereto as Exhibit "A", "B", "C", "D", "E" and "F" respec-
<br />tively; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, Field Order No.1 provides for refurbishing of
<br />all red brick joints at a cost of $10,800.00; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, Field Order No. 2 provides for applying Thoro
<br />coat to areas below the Texas Leuder Stone at the West
<br />elevation at a cost of $600.00; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, Field Order No. 3 provides for caulking all
<br />perimeters of wood windows on entire building at a cost of
<br />$1,540.00; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, Field Order No.
<br />molding on sides of truck doors
<br />cost of $250.00; and,
<br />
<br />4 provides for replacing
<br />at the South elevation at a
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, Field Order No.5 provides for stabilizing and
<br />resetting three (3) column stones on the South column at the
<br />West elevation at a cost of $1,800.00; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, Field Order No. 6 provides for removing,
<br />cleaning, sealing and reinstalling the light lanterns at the
<br />South elevation at a cost of $1,200.00; NOW, THEREFORE,
<br />
<br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
<br />PARIS, That Landmark Restoration & Waterproofing Co., Inc.,
<br />be engaged on a force account day to day basis for Exterior
<br />Renovation to City Hall and Central Fire Station described
<br />as Field Orders No.1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 attached hereto as
<br />Exhibit "A", "B", "C", "D", "E" and "F" and the Mayor of the
<br />City of Paris, Billy Joe Burnett, is hereby authorized and
<br />directed, on behalf of the City of Paris, to execute said
<br />Field Orders.

<br />AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the City Manager of
<br />the City of Paris, Michael E. Malone be, and he is empowered
<br />to cancel any or all of said Field Orders at any stage of
<br />their completion with or without the advice of the City
<br />Council.
