Paris Visitors & Convention Council Board of Directors Meeting <br />8 West Plaza and zoom <br />Monday, August 16, 2021 <br />4:00 pm <br />Members Present: Tony Corso, Vicki Ballard, Trey Glascock, Brittney Keys, Dustin Broadway, Lea <br />Emerson, Paula Portugal, Renee Harvey, Mark Pankaj, John Bratcher, Tim Walsworth, Russell Jackson, <br />Cary Lott, Ryan Whitaker and Bryan Hargis. <br />Staff Present: Becky Semple, Gina Crawford and Paul Allen. <br />Paul Allen called the meeting to order at 4:00 pm. <br />Minutes: A motion to approve June minutes was made by Trey Glascock, seconded by Tim Walsworth. <br />Motion passed unanimously. <br />Financials: Vicki Ballard presented the July financials. A motion to approve was made by Tony Corso, <br />seconded by Tim Walsworth. Motion passed unanimously. <br />Becky Semple presented the funding for the TMBRA, September 3 -5th. Based on the scoring criteria, a <br />motion to approve $1825 was made by Tony Corso, seconded by Dustin Broadway. Motion passed <br />unanimously. <br />Becky Semple presented the funding for Navy Wives Clubs of America on April 21 -24th. Based on the <br />scoring criteria, a motion to approve $1425 was made by Tim Walsworth, seconded by Dustin Broadway. <br />Motion passed unanimously. <br />Becky Semple presented the funding for Festival of Pumpkins on October 23rd. Based on the scoring <br />criteria, a motion to approve $1850 was made by Trey Glascock, seconded by Brittany Keys. Motion <br />passed unanimously. <br />Becky Semple presented the funding for Paris Body Art Expo on August 27 -28th. Based on the scoring <br />criteria, a motion to approve $1898 was made by Ryan Whitaker, seconded by Mihir Pankaj. Motion <br />passed unanimously. <br />Paul Allen presented the VCC 2021-2022 budget. A motion to approve was made by Ryan Whitaker, <br />seconded by Trey Glascock. Motion passed unanimously. <br />Paul Allen stated that we need to spend some marketing money before the end of the fiscal year. He <br />presented a timer for biking events. A motion to approve the timer and additional transponders was <br />made by Bryan Glass, seconded by Lea Emerson. Motion passed unanimously. He also stated that we <br />will be purchasing some benches and signage for Barber Hills and some picnic tables for the Pump Track. <br />Old Business: none. <br />
