<br />RESOLUTION NO. 87-125 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Manager of the City of Paris has <br />heretofore received a request from Frank McHam, Chairman of <br />the Board, Paris Bible Church, for a pro rata water main <br />extension to serve property located at 1245 N.W. 19th <br />Street; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is deemed appropriate to permit Paris Bible <br />Church to act as sponsor under the terms of Section IX of <br />the Subdivision Ordinance No. 1315 of the City of Paris with <br />any refunds due under said ordinance being paid to Paris <br />Bible Church or their successors or assigns; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, upon receipt of the above described request, <br />preliminary plans, specifications and estimate of the total <br />cost of the project were prepared and delivered to the City <br />Manager and considered at the regular Council Meeting on the <br />19th day of October, 1987, and a public hearing concerning <br />the same was set for November 16, 1987, at which time such <br />public hearing was held; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, after hearing the matters presented at the <br />public hearing, the City Council is of the opinion that <br />Paris Bible Church is entitled to have a pro rata water main <br />extension and to act as sponsor for said project; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, such proj ect should be known as the Paris <br />Bible Church Pro Rata Water Main Extension Project which has <br />a total estimated cost of $9,552.40; the front foot method <br />would be equitable and is the method described on Exhibit A <br />attached hereto; NOW, THEREFORE, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />PARIS, That the pro rata water main extension beginning at <br />West Henderson Streets intersection with 19th N.W. Street; <br />thence in a Southerly direction to 1245 N. W. 19th Street, <br />be, and the same is hereby approved and shall be known as <br />"Paris Bible Church Pro Rata Water Main Extension Project"; <br />and, <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That Paris Bible Church act as <br />sponsor of said pro rata water main extension and pay the <br />total construction cost, less the oversizing cost which will <br />be paid by the City of Paris; and, <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the front foot rule is the <br />method described in Exhibit A attached hereto, less the cost <br />of oversizing, is found to be equitable and is adopted as <br />the method to be used for refunding the cost of the water <br />and sewer main extension to sponsor, Paris Bible Church, its <br />successors or assigns; and, <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the City Manager, Michael <br />E. Malone, be, and he is hereby authorized and directed to <br />proceed with said project and to execute a pro rata contract <br />with Paris Bible Church uoon comoletion of the oroiect <br />
