Item No. 10 <br />TO: Mayor, Mayor Pro -Tem & City Council <br />Grayson Path, City Manager <br />FROM: Andrew Mack, AICP Director Planning & Community Development <br />SUBJECT: Consideration of and action on the Preliminary & Final Plat of the Lamar Crossing <br />Addition CB -315, Lots 1-3 of Block A, LCAD 50988, located in the 4000 Block of Lamar <br />Ave <br />DATE: October 25, 2021 <br />BACKGROUND <br />The shopping center owner is working with Scooter's Coffee to locate a new pad site drive-thru building <br />new the easterly driveway from Lamar Avenue in front of where the Ashley Furniture Home Store was <br />located. A separate variance for a parking reduction is being reviewed by the Board of Adjustment on <br />Tuesday October 5th. The plat is required for construction of the new drive thru but because the land was <br />never platted with construction of the two shopping strip centers on the property. Staff recommends approval <br />with the following noted condition: <br />1. Atmos Energy has identified more gas lines than are drawn on the plat and shall be shown upon <br />the final plat prior to final recording. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Approval is recommended by Staff and the Planning & Zoning of the final plat with the noted condition. <br />
