3. Reject and either continue with in-house billing, not increasing the rates, and/or procuring
for this service on our own.
RECOMMENDATION:
Approve the Interlocal Agreement and Resolution with the City of Coppell, Emergicon,
LLC Agreement for Third Party EMS Billing Services, and Ordinance for EMS Billing
Rate Increase.
Notes:
1. City of Paris Current Rates shown, followed by City of Coppell Current Rates. Emergicon, LLC has asked
that the City of Paris increase its rates to match City of Coppell.
2. Other Municipal Rates shown (Atlanta, Sulphur Springs, etc.). These are non -metro cities to help provide a
more reasonable comparison to our operation.
3. Minimum, Maximum and Average exclude City of Paris and City of Coppell rates.
4. The "Within Min and Max" Columns compare the "Paris (Current)" and "Paris (Proposed)" columns
(respectively) against the Min and Max ranges.
5. City of Paris Current Rates are well below that of other Cities on this list (below the Minimum value listed).
6. City of Paris Proposed Rates are mostly all within the Minimum and Maximum Range of other Cities on this
list; those beyond the Maximum value listed are not excessively beyond.
