ORDINANCE NO. <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS, <br />AMENDING APPENDIX A, ARTICLE A.6, SECTION A6.001 OF THE CODE OF <br />ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PROVIDING FOR AN INCREASE IN <br />EMERGENCY AND NON -EMERGENCY AMBULANCE SERVICES RATES; <br />REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT <br />HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />WHEREAS, the City of Paris periodically adjusts its ambulance service rates to keep <br />up with inflation and other increased costs; and <br />WHEREAS, the City has not increased ambulance service rates since 2018; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that the City must raise ambulance <br />service rates in order for the service to be more financially stable; <br />THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, <br />TEXAS: <br />Section 1. That Appendix A, Article A.6, Section A6.001, "Ambulance Service Rates" <br />of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paris be, and the same is hereby, amended so that <br />Subsection (b) is deleted and Subsection (a) shall read as follows.: <br />"Sec. 2-98. Ambulance Service Rates." <br />,,(a) The following rates are established for Emergency Medical Service for <br />Residents and Non -Residents of Lamar County: <br />(1) Specialty Care Transport (SCT) Emergency (A0434): $1800.00 per call for <br />service <br />(2) Mobile Intensive Care Unit (MICU) Transport - Emergency (A0433): <br />$1750.00 per call for service <br />(3) Advanced Life Support (ALS) Transport - Emergency (A0427): $1600.00 <br />per call for service <br />(4) Advanced Life Support (ALS) Transport - Non -Emergency (A0426): <br />$1600.00 per call for service <br />(5) Basic Life Support (BLS) Transport - Emergency (A0429): $1400.00 per <br />call for service <br />(6) Basic Life Support (BLS) Transport Non -Emergency (A0428): $1400.00 <br />per call for service <br />
