NOTICE OF SPECIAL ELECTION <br />To the Registered Voters of the City of Paris, Texas: <br />Notice is hereby given that the polling places listed below will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. <br />on November 4, 2008, for voting in the special election for the purpose of a proposed Ordinance <br />establishing a limit on the total amount of taxes that may be imposed on the residence homestead <br />of a disabled person or person sixty-five (65) years of age or older pursuant to Article 8, Section l- <br />b(h) of the Texas Constitution and Texas Tax Code Section 11.261. All qualified voters residing <br />within the geographic boundaries of the City of Paris may vote in the special election. <br />LOCATION OF THE POLLING PLACES <br />District No. 1: Red River Valley Fair Grounds, West Side Building, 570 E. Center Street, Paris,TX <br />District No. 2: Oak Park United Methodist Church, 2515 Bonham Street, Paris, TX <br />District No. 3: Travis Jr. High School, 3270 Graham Street, Paris, TX <br />District No. 4: Cecil Everett Elementary, 3201 Lewis Lane, Paris, TX <br />District No. 5: Paris Jr. College, Hunt Center, 2400 Clarksville Street, Paris, TX <br />District No. 6: Paris Jr. College, Hunt Center, 2400 Clarksville St., Paris, TX <br />Disfict No. 7: Ramseur Baptist Church, 3400 Lamar Avenue, Paris, TX <br />The polls shall be open on election day from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. <br />Early voting for the election shall be held each weekday at City Hall Annex West,1501 St Street S.E., <br />Paris, Texas, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. beginning October 20, 2008 and ending <br />October 31, 2008, with additional hours of 8:00 o'clock a.m. until 8:00 p.m. on the first two days <br />of early voting. <br />Applications for ballot by mail shall be mailed to Janice Ellis, Early Voting Clerk, 150 1 S` Street S.E., <br />Paris, Texas 75460.
