ORDINANCE NO. 2021 - 047 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS, AMENDING APPENDIX A, ARTICLE A.6, SECTION A6.001 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PROVIDING FOR AN INCREASE IN EMERGENCY AND NON -EMERGENCY AMBULANCE SERVICES RATES; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City of Paris periodically adjusts its ambulance service rates to keep up with inflation and other increased costs; and WHEREAS, the City has not increased ambulance service rates since 2018; and WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that the City must raise ambulance service rates in order for the service to be more financially stable; THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS: Section 1. That Appendix A, Article A.6, Section A6.001, "Ambulance Service Rates" of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paris be, and the same is hereby, amended so that Subsection (b) is deleted and Subsection (a) shall read as follows. : "Sec. 2-98. Ambulance Service Rates." "(a) The following rates are established for Emergency Medical Service for Residents and Non -Residents of Lamar County: (1) Specialty Care Transport (SCT) Emergency (A0434): $1800.00 per call for service (2) Mobile Intensive Care Unit (MICU) Transport - Emergency (A0433): $1750.00 per call for service (3) Advanced Life Support (ALS) Transport - Emergency (A0427): $1600.00 per call for service (4) Advanced Life Support (ALS) Transport - Non -Emergency (A0426): $1600.00 per call for service (5) Basic Life Support (BLS) Transport - Emergency (A0429): $1400.00 per call for service (6) Basic Life Support (BLS) Transport Non -Emergency (A0428): $1400.00 per call for service
