<br />. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 86-l03 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris is well <br />aware of the hazardous duties performed by members of the <br />Paris Emergency Service personnel; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper that acts of heroism <br />be recognized and the gratitude of the citizens of Paris be <br />made known through recognition by their governing body; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Fire Engineer, Gary Cook and Firefighter, <br />Grayford Cobb did on September 2, 1986, enter a residential <br />structure that was showing heavy smoke and fire involvement, <br />without full protective clothing and equipment, at great <br />personal risk, said entry being made through windows of the <br />structure and extricated two senior citizens. Had not these <br />two firemen acted swiftly, without regard for their own <br />personal safety, these two citizens would have lost their <br />lives; NOW, THEREFORE, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED, That Fire Engineer, Gary Cook and <br />Firefighter, Grayford Cobb, be, and they are hereby <br />commended for outstanding and heroic service; and, <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution <br />be placed in the personnel folder of Gary Cook and Grayford <br />Cobb and that a copy of this Resolution be presented to each <br />of said Firemen. <br /> <br />Passed and adopted this 20th day of October, 1986. <br /> <br />Bi <br /> <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />~~~~...,~ <br />Matt~e unn~ng am, ~ er <br /> <br />3E.~~:' ~.~ <br /> <br />T.
