<br />STATE OF TEXAS <br /> <br />9 <br />9 <br />9 <br /> <br />KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS <br /> <br />COUNTY OF LAMAR <br /> <br />THAT the CITY OF <br />corporation, acting by <br />hereinafter referred <br />COMPANY, Suite 2200, <br />hereinafter referred <br />agree as follows: <br /> <br />PARIS, Paris, Texas, a municipal <br />and through its Mayor, Joe Graham, <br />to as CITY and ARTHUR ANDERSEN & <br />1201 Elm Street, Dallas, Texas 75270, <br />to as ACCOUNTING FIRM, do contract and <br /> <br />1. The CITY wishes to procure and the ACCOUNTING FIR}! <br />desires to provide professional services as described in <br />Exhibit A attached hereto and incorporated herein for all <br />legal purposes, for FIFTY THREE THOUSAND ONE HUNDRED AND <br />NO/lOO DOLLARS ($53,100.00) plus out-of-pocket expenses for <br />lodging and travel to be approved by the City Manager of the <br />City of Paris. <br /> <br />2. CITY and ACCOUNTING FIR}! each bind itself, its <br />successors and assigns to this agreement and to the <br />covenants contained herein. ACCOUNTING rI~1 shall not <br />assign, sublet, or transfer its interest in the contract <br />without the written consent of CITY. <br /> <br />3. ACCOUNTING FI~! will not discriminate against any <br />employee or applicant for employment because of race, <br />religion, color, sex or national origin. ACCOUNTING FI~1 <br />will take affirmative action to insure that applicants are <br />employed and that employees are treated during employment <br />without regard to their race, religion, color, sex or <br />national origin. Such action shall include, but is not <br />limited to the following: employment, upgrading, demotion <br />or transfer; recruitment or recruitment advertising; layoff, <br />termination; rates of payor other forms of compensation; <br />and selection for training, including apprenticeship. <br />ACCOUNTING FIRM agrees to post, in conspicuous places <br />available to employees and applicants for employment, <br />notices setting forth the requirements of these non-dis- <br />crimination provisions. <br /> <br />4.
